2. Crisis Text Line – The Crisis Text Line continues to offer free, 24/7 support for those in crisis through active listening, collaborative problem solving and safety planning. This organization utilizes the power of Making Impact through engaging in simple one-on-one conversations with people in need of help and guidance. If you’re at least 18 and can commit to volunteering at least four hours each week, apply to be trained as a Crisis Text Line volunteer for free.
3. Translators Without Borders – For those fluent in more than one language, Translators Without Borders combines language skills with humanitarian aid. Volunteers provide translations (10 million words per year!) to international organizations that focus on crisis relief, health and education. Being able to better communicate with those around us can strengthen the bonds and relationships throughout the community.
